Thermal gravimetric analysis (TG/TGA) involves monitoring the mass variation of a sample as a function of temperature or time during heating, constant-temperature, or cooling processes; its purpose is to investigate the thermal stability and composition of materials. This technique is widely employed in research and development, process optimization, and quality control across various fields—including plastics, rubber, coatings, pharmaceuticals, catalysts, inorganic materials, metallic materials, and composite materials.
